Thumbs up Sliding down a ramp in reverse

So at my drive thru, the pickup windows are on a ramp. Let's say the driver in front looks like a n00b at driving in winter up a ramp.Do you follow them up the ramp and stick as close as you can to their bumper? So that when they slide backwards, it causes virtually no damage? The drawback to this is that you are inviting two vehicles to make contact whereas had you left enough space, there could be no contact.Or do you leave 2-3 car spaces to give them lots of room to slide down while they try to figure out how to climb the ramp? The drawback here is that if they fail to gain traction to move up the ramp, they would have had 2-3 car spaces to gain momentum and when their vehicle hits yours, it's likely to cause damage? It would also piss off the people behind you since they can't get their order in while you leave 2-3 car spaces in front.
