Thumbs up your views on end of "cycle" cars?

as an rfd'er, (and let's say you just want brand new -no exceptions), what are the pros and cons of buying an end of "cycle" vehicle that's about to be redesigned? amongst the things i can think of are:PROSa) prolly all the problems have cropped up (and hopefully been solved more or less) from earlier yearsb) prolly you can get a bit more $ off since the next year's model is completely new (eg. 5 series)c) if you really like the car, then you are the last to get those features (after all, some older models might be better than the newer ones -- note that a lot of people prefer the earlier tsx vs the 2009/2010 tsx)CONSa) higher depreciation hit?b) you'll be driving an "older vehicle" even if it's still brand newAnything else you guys can think of? To me, it's essentially a matter of $. if it's a lot of $ off the original price when the new model came out, (eg. 10-20% off - eg. MSRP dropped from $45k to $35-40k), why not?
