Disobey stop sign ticket in richmond hill. Please help

Hello RFD'ers, I Need Some Advice And Help. I'm A New G2 Driver, 19. I Recently Got A "Disobey Stop Sign - Fail To Stop" Ticket Around My House Richmond Hill. It Was A Police Trap And Got Pulled Over By A Undercover. I Was Driving Up A Uphill Passing A Rail Tracks, And When I Reached The Top Of The Hill, There Is A Stop Sign I Pass At Least 10 Times A Week. The Undercover Pulled Me Over And Told Me I Didnot Stop At The Stop Sign, And Told Me If I Had Any Issue To Bring It To Court. He Was Pretty Friendly And Understanding, So I Did Bother Questioning Him. I'm Currently A Struggling University Student And The Money And Points Will Hit Me Pretty Hard. I Decided To Go To Court Myself, And Hope For The Best. Any Advice You Can Give To A Fellow RFD'er Would Help Alot. CHEEERS
