Thumbs up buying used US vehicles, should be discouted?

Hey guys, im currently shopping for a used car. Should I be valuing US vehicles that have been imported to Canada at some point in thier history at a lower amount than an equivilant "born in Canada" version? I'm guessing someone got a deal when it was imported and that discount should be carried forward , plus you have to deal with the US gauges.Thoughts?
