Thumbs up New Car Negotiations - Advice?

I pulled a vehicle report from carsaver.ca, which lists the invoice price as $24,453 (including delivery). With a factory-to-dealer rebate of -$500, in addition to a recent grad incentive of -$750, the actual invoice cost to the dealership should be $23,203. What would be a reasonable profit margin for the dealer? In other words, what should I reasonably expect to pay? Also, what are "dealer fees"? Are they some BS fee that's used to cushion the bottom line? Should one expect to pay such fees, or have them waived outright? Assuming I get a luke-warm offer from one dealer, is it acceptable to phone another dealer and see if they can do better? Or is this something that's best done in person? Should I mention the fact that I'm aware of the invoice pricing (thereby cutting to the chase)? I'd appreciate any general tips on negotiating/etiquette as this is completely new to me. Frankly, I'm the type of person who does the research, lays down an offer, and then waits for a "yes" or "no". I don't particularly enjoy going back and forth. Thanks for any/all help.
