Donate 1000 Petro Points and get back 1000

I just got an email from Petro Canada and part of the content is:"Plus, if you redeem PETRO-POINTS before February 10, 2012 you'll get a one-time bonus of 1,000 PETRO-POINTS!¹"¹PETRO-POINTS will be applied to account on or around February 24, 2012. Limit of 1,000 bonus PETRO-POINTS per household.I went to the site and found that I can donate 1000 points to Canadian Cancer Society or Support Canadian Athletes. The other < 1000 points reward aren't attractive.http://retail.petro-canada.ca/en/pet...range=0_3000So I think I can donate 1000 points and then get back 1000 for free. I couldn't confirm this as the points will be applied to account on or around February 24, 2012 as per the fine print.
