How come IOS versions of games cost less?
I just noticed that Ghost Trick has come to IOS. Its only 10 bucks... yes just 10 bucks and the first two chapters are free. Not to mention that the game is also in a higher res now!How are the IOS games so much cheaper than the other formats? Its it because:- No used market?- Greater competition on IOS?- No physical copy?- Lower revenue sharing?I know that all of these likely play a share in it (question is pretty rhetorical i know) but really devs are talking about how hard it is to make money at 40 bucks at game (handhelds) or more (for console games) and then go and release the game for 1/4 the price on IOS? I dont get it. Are the publishers and devs lying to us or what is going on here? If this is true then I hope that the next consoles are 100% digital distribution if we can expect to see amazing games like ghost trick for 10 bucks.
