Bed bugs came with Home Depot Canada online purchase

A family member purchased a queen bed and 2 bedroom drawers at homedepot.ca near the end of Nov. 2011. Since then, she has been bitten overnight but wasn't sure what it was until she identified it is bed bugs through matching her bites to the pictures online. (She didn't buy any other stuffs from elsewhere)She informed homedepot.ca about the situation, but homedepot manager refused to help by basically saying that their handling and shipping is 100% bug free. An Email was sent to Home Depot ceo last week but no reply.I would like to help, but I dont' know what I can suggest. Anyone has any similiar experiece like this and would it be good idea to take it to small claim court.
