Default How to get more muscle on torso? P90X vs working out at gym

My goal is to get more muscle on my deltoids, pecs, back and triceps i.e. to make myself look something between a regular body and a Calvin Klein model.I only have a bit of tummy fat, not a lot.But the thing is, I tried P90X and found the exercises to be a bit crazy when the instructor keeps yelling more sets, and you're already tired out. I tried the abs but cramped fast on P90X. And 90 minutes is a chunk of time out of a regular day.I'm already doing Insanity so 90 more minutes on top of that is a lot.I go to the gym 2-3x a week and generally do circuit, eg. 3 sets of 10 back exercises with machine, 3 sets of assisted bench presses, 3 sets of free weight chest presses, and sometimes I do shoulder presses x1 set of 10, sometimes 1 set of biceps and 1 set of triceps. Generally 1 set is equal to 10 reps. I usually lift weights that are comfortable. But I seem to be lifting the same weight as I always have. And I don't seem to be getting that much bigger. After a workout it might seem I'm a bit bigger, but when I wake up in the morning I don't look that much different anymore. I do drink recovery drink like choco milk after workouts. What's wrong with my workout? It's rare that I can arrange a workout buddy. Thanks
