Thumbs up Good hotel, cost savings for one night stay in Toronto

Can anyone recommend a good hotel, with good accommodations and a very good prices. I'm not looking for service, just a room for the night for a stay over. Would it be cheaper to stay in the North York area or Downtown area. Are prices equal or does it vary?
