Flights to Amsterdam - best price?

Hey, so I have some family in Holland that I'm trying to visit this summer in a city near Amsterdam and as I just began to plan the trip I want to book the flight as soon as possible. My plan is to go roughly at the end of June, fly out sometime during the last week and was hoping to stay for around 3 weeks. Now I was hoping since I'm booking quite far in advance that I would be able to search for the best prices possible. I'm from London but figure it would probably be cheaper to fly from Toronto. From doing a few quick google searches and finding a couple travel sites it seems the cheapest flights are around 1000-1100 after taxes. Now I'm quite the travel noob, in fact I've never flown internationally so I was wondering if there were any tips or tricks you guys had to find cheaper flights? Any specific websites that are better than others? Specific days that would be cheaper to fly out on? Air lines that are known to be cheaper?Should I book my flight ASAP or wait closer to the date to find better deals?Any advice at all would be much appreciated!Thanks
