Flight to Japan - Recommend resources?

I wish to go to Japan from March 25ish (depart, flexible but cannot depart later than 26) to August 20ish (return, flexible). It will be from Toronto to Oita/FukuokaAs this is my first flight, I'm very overwhelmed with the amount of resources at my disposal. I'm looking for a *rfd-level* cheap price. Average price seems to be around $1500 CAD all in.What are some strategies I can use to kick the price down (hopefully) to around $1300 or below?A few things I've tried:Toronto -> Tokyo seems to be more reasonable ($1100ish), but then it would cost over $350 to go from Tokyo to Oita/Fukuoka via bus/train or flight, which makes this inconvenient and not viable. Checked sites expedia, priceline, hotwire and flight centre. It seems hard to look for prices since I have to keep moving dates around.So.. just looking for any words of advice. Hopefully I'm not booking the flight too late!
